What? 3am? Not its not what are you talking about.

So, is there a Matrix server or some other digital chat space of chill fiction writers out there to talk shop/share insights/resources? Bonus points if geared towards or include those focused on comics/zines, LGBTQ+, and not super big and busy.

Who's that with yon fungus-festooned cart in the depths of the dungeon ~?

I do love that, if I wanted to, I could mail a friend a letter in a fancy envelope that only said something like "hirnkle" and nothing more and there aren't any rules against that. You can just do that.

Not a fox! You can guess what animal this character is based on, and then see if you got it right by checking the art's page. :D [Or hovering over the image here lol]

Once more, what Pixelfed is to Instagram, there is probably a good number of folk who'd love a Fediverse equivalent to a dA profile and gallery.

Can vouch that @humansbgone 's a fun watch, and I'm looking forward to the next release in the project. :D

#introduction I'm Rev, and I do Humans-B-Gone!, a #3d #scifi #animation #series about giant #insects and specifically a giant #mantis who works in pest control--controlling human infestations, that is! You can watch it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/c/HumansBGone/

A work-in-progress shot of a wolpertinger character for a client. : D

Granted its not fool-proof, but for me its nice to have a little more control instead of hoping that if a social media platform kicks the bucket suddenly, I don't end up loosing a lot of work in the process bc I grew to comfortable treating those spaces like a back-up drive :/

LBT: Tangently related, but that sort of thing is also why, as clunky as it is, I went through the effort of making my portfolio site my "main" online gallery space instead of Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, DeviantART, so on.
I have a copy of all my work and it's attached commentary all in one spot both offline and off that I can easily copy to my backup drive with my full-res versions. Sucks loosing that [especially the commentary!] in a blink of an eye.

Twitter expats that have just joined:
Here's a friendly reminder to download an archive of your tweets. Save your stuff, often. Back it up, always.

I don't think twitter is going away in the immediate future but, I often think of the countless things I've coded, designed, drawn, & animated that I didn't save. All lost in time...

Playing a Video Game after like, months of not doing so bc I forgot they exist and I need to make myself do something other than draw. What should I go with? πŸ€”
